2。5 ⭐Jak dobrze， że już koniec。 Naprawdę strasznie się męczyłam czytając tę książkę i nie wiem sama dlaczego。 Niby fabuła fajna， ale jednak dialogi i wszystko wydawało mi się tak bardzo sztuczne。 Wydaje mi się， że może to być wina tłumaczenia， dlatego o ile zdecyduje się sięgnąć po dalsze części to przeczytam je w oryginale。 Jedynie Hawke ratował tę książkę， a dodatkowe pół gwiazdki jest za końcowy plot twist。

It took me like more than a month to read this。 And while I know I will end up liking the other books more it is hard to love it right now。 My biggest pet peeve in books is characters like Hawke he’s like Rhysand and I love Rhysand now but I hated him so much in the beginning。 So it was good Hawke annoyed me same with Poppy how easily she gave in to him but I like the plot has potential I look forward to reading next book

Slow burn but by the end I am deeply interested in where this story is heading and the romance to me as a beautiful blend of burning hot and piercing cold。 I am torn between Poppy accepting her life seemingly destined to be with Cas or her fighting for her freedom and hopefully becoming a badass independent powerful female creating her own destiny。

I don’t like smut， but I like the main character of this even less。 Her internal monologue was boring as hell。 World building was tropey and inconsistent。 Questionable consent is an absolute no for me。 And honestly， do we need any books about vampires or werewolves？ Like at all？ Gross。

Love， love LOVE this book。 I could not put it down。 I was not really expecting much because I've been in a reading slump and this was randomly recommended to me by one of those Kindle recommendation ads that are normally not great at choosing stuff I like。 But this got me right out of my slump and propelled me violently back into reading entire books in a single day。 I'm not going to summarize the book- everyone else leaving reviews has already done that。 But let me just say that 9 months after Love， love LOVE this book。 I could not put it down。 I was not really expecting much because I've been in a reading slump and this was randomly recommended to me by one of those Kindle recommendation ads that are normally not great at choosing stuff I like。 But this got me right out of my slump and propelled me violently back into reading entire books in a single day。 I'm not going to summarize the book- everyone else leaving reviews has already done that。 But let me just say that 9 months after finishing the series I am STILL thinking about a certain dreamy， righteously violent， deliciously feminist Atlantian that stole my heart from the beginning。 And don't get me started on Poppy。 What a unique， total badass main character。 She made me want to break out of my own societal role and do something defiant and badass for myself。 I wish I could re-read this for the first time。 For those complaining about the level of spice in this book- yeah。 It's pretty spicy。 Not 50 Shades of Grey level spicy， but definitely up there。 Personally， I loved it。 It gets spicier with each book in the series so if you had a problem with the first one you'll probably have a bigger problem with the next books。 But if you are an adult who can handle some adult scenes， this book is THE book for you。 。。。more

This book has it all really！！ It’s incredibly addicting。Easy writing， plot with quite a few twists！A interesting fantasy world that has a few lacunae but as the story develops in the following books it all falls together。The main characters: Poppy and Hawke: OMG I love them so much with their strengths and flaws。It is absolutely incredible and if you haven’t read it you are really missing out。

Seit langem ein Buch， welches mich mal wieder so richtig abgeholt hat。 Der Klappentext ist beinahe schon nichtssagend， das Buch hingegen…Ich liebe es， dass sich Zeit genommen wurde， um dir Geschichte aufzubauen und die Charaktere darzustellen。 Hier wurde nicht an Zeilen gespart und das war genau richtig， denn nur so kann man emotional so enrolled sein， wie ich es jetzt bin。Der Cliffhanger am Ende ist fies und ich kann es nicht abwarten den nächsten Teil zu lesen 🔥☺️
